The thrilling aspect of this book was impressive and unexpected. The mystery wasn’t off either. The story did a good job of stringing me along through many twists and turns before it revealed its secrets. I wanted to give this book four stars, but it took me more chapters than I like to get into the story. However, in saying that, once it got going for me, I had a hard time putting it down. I also wasn’t very fond of the characters. I found them predictable and uninteresting which played against the mystery for me. Overall, I’m glad I gave this novel a chance, and I believe that many readers, particularly genre readers, will indeed enjoy this book.
